Emergency shelters made from paper

TED
Shigeru Ban: Emergency shelters made from paper
Summary
The speaker Shigeru Ban is an architect who has been thinking about environmental issues since long before. Nowadays, this is one of the burning issues in the world. He is the first man to build structures which people can live and stay normally using paper cardboard tube.
Paper is much stronger than people expect and it's easy and possible to waterproof and fireproof. The most important thing is that his building can be reused or recycled. When the building is demolished, they are not industrial waste. They can be also dismantled and sent to a new place and rebuild again easily. It seems that they were built by volunteer students. Using recycled paper tubes will lead to reducing cost.
There are lots of buildings to show power or to be used much money from the past though buildings should be built to help people and society among limited budget. And then, it should be loved by many people for a long time.
Nowadays, his remarkable structures are often used as temporary housing for disaster-struck in the world.  He hopes to keep them helpful and we have to know them more.
