Richard Branson: Life at 30,000 feet

TED2007
Richard Branson: Life at 30,000 feet (script)
Summary
Richard Branson is one of the most successful industrialists in the world and he is a multimillionaire.
Although he and his companies failed a lot, he said that the most important thing for growing big companies is to have a lot of fun and to turn the status quo upside down. It means to do something differently and to go and to shake up other industries. Then they can't be back in the market.
Only you have to move forward even if you are told that you are crazy. He didn't have a choice but he had to protect the jobs of the people who worked for his company. No one can't know your success because there is a very thin dividing line between success and failure.
When he was young, he learned that you can really run any companies if you can run one company.
In fact, Chris Anderson thought that business people were supposed to just be ruthless and it was the only way to succeed.
Chris is now an owner of TED though before he was an industrialist but he gave it up because he thought that and he struggled in his business.
However, Richard Branson answered that the best way to becoming a successful business leader is dealing with people fairly and well. He has done it and he said, " I'll be in a person to radically change other people's lives for the better and l want to feel that l' ve made a difference to other people's lives when l' m on my deathbed".
His story gave us inspiration and that's right, it would change our lives. He is still full of energy.

Yuval Noah Harari: What explains the rise of humans?

TEDGlobalLondon 2015
Yuval Noah Harari: What explains the rise of humans? (script)
Summary
This was quite a shocking talk for me though I've understood why Japanese people think that Some Japan is not a good country.
It is because a state and a nation are not objective realities. This is just a story that people have invented and become extremely attached to. I like that the speaker says what he wants to say clearly because Japanese people don't do that.
The story comes from the difference between the ability of humans and all other animals, and this is the reason for the rise of humans.
The different ability between humans and all other animals is on the collective level that only humans have. It maks humans flexibly cooperate with each other in very large numbers. All other animals cannot do in a sudden new opportunity or in a new danger, and they cannot reinvent social system overnight. Even if some animals can flexibly cooperate, they do only in small numbers.
The reason why only humans can do it is their imagination. Thus, they can flexibly cooperate with countless number of strangers but they can create and believe fictional stories. That's why they obey and follow the same rules, norms, and values. This mechanism creates human rights, our state and nations, and money. In fact, these are just fictional stories that humans have invented. In history, this fictional reality became more and more powerful and humans control the world now. This is the rise of humans. The rise is the noun and it means that the process of becoming very famous, powerful, or popular.
Then the fictional reality seems to lead us to dividing the rich and the poor now. It's never said a good thing but the power will become stronger and stronger.
I think that current Japanese stories are seen
only governments to get a benefit. In the world, we can have a better imagination because we have an ability of that collective level.

Rory Vaden: How To Multiply Your Time

TEDxDouglasville 2015
Rory Vaden: How To Multiply Your Time (script)
Summary
To multiply your time is not to make severe or tight time management. You always think about doing something with speed or efficiency. It is wrong.
First, you have to decide on your priority. Then you will do your tasks which are in descending order of your priorities, is also not wrong.
You have to change your mindset from how many things you can do today, to what you should do today.
For multiplying your time, you should eliminate, automate, delegate and even procrastinate your tasks more.
Intentionally procrastinating is deciding when you do something at right time.
Whit those tasks, self-management is more important than your to-do list or your calendar. You multiply your time by giving yourself the emotional permission to spend time on things today, that create more time for you tomorrow.

mediocrity /noun/ the quality or state of being mediocre. average, ordinary ability, banality.

3. Delegate- let someone do it for you( task organization)
4. Procrastinate-postpone a task for now

Tokyo, I am always here. 10) The Yamanote line

Yamanote line

Lastly, I'll tell you that you can go to those places I introduced by the Yamanote Line. It is a very convenient railway loop line in Tokyo. In the rail map, the Yamanote line is always shown the green color.
Surprisingly, it's connecting almost of the stations I introduced,  including Shinjuku, Ueno, Akihabara, and Shinbashi. You can walk from Shinbashi to Ginza and by transferring at Shinagawa station, you can go to Haneda. By metro (subway) from Ueno station, you can also go to Asakusa.
The Yamanote Line is a loop railway in Tokyo, thus you can't go out off Tokyo. You can come back at your station anytime.  It takes about one hour a turn on the Yamanote line.
There is a special ticket: Day Pass, and I think using Suica is also fun.
Let's enjoy Tokyo.

Tokyo, I am always here. 9) my favorite cafes

Doutor coffee
And then, I want to introduce my favorite cafes I often go.  I sometimes skip my work and study English in there.  It's a secret.
1) Doutor coffee
I like Doutor coffee the most. It is because the price is relatively cheap and how to order is easy.
In Japan, there are a lot of cafes and the most famous cafe is Starbucks which your country also has. However, it is super expensive, it is crowded always and I don't know how to order in there.
I can be persistently in Doutor coffee for a long time with a little order but it is not pleased with shops.
2) Mister Donut
Mister Donut is also famous in the world. However, I think that donuts eaten in Japan are not sweeter than other countries have. It means a natural and slightly sweetness.
Donuts other countries sell are too sweet to eat though you can eat limitlessly in Japan because of it.
3) McDonald's
Although around the world, there are a lot of McDonald's, I think that Japanese one is more delicious but they are small. You can see Japanese food is delicately made there also.

Tokyo, I am always here. 8) Asakusa

Tokyo Skytree
Asakusa

You can feel and see in Asakusa that Japan is really combined traditional and modern culture. The modern building is Tokyo Skytree that is the tallest tower in the world and the traditional building is Senso-ji that is one of the oldest temples in Tokyo. There is a famous gate that ultimately leads to the Senso-ji there. The gate hangs a big red lantern that is written "Kaminarimon"  in Kanji characters, thus it is called Kaminarimon. In fact, Mon means a gate and Kaminari means a thunder.  This is the very famous place as taking pictures, however, I think that you must take one more picture at opposite side of Kaminarimon. On the back of lantern is written different Kanji characters " Fujin Raijin ".  Only a few Japanese people know it. Incidentally, " Fujin Raijin " means the wind God and the thunder God.
In Asakusa, there is a shop which also sells our company's products called "fancy shop." In Japan, fancy goods mean to be designed for their interest rather than practical use.

Tokyo, I am always here. 7) Akihabara

Tokyo Radio Department

Akihabara

You've probably heard about Akihabara where there are a lot of electronic stores and there is talked that there are a lot of interesting Japanese cultures which are anime, otaku, and meido and etc. Japanese electrical products are really great. It attracts people in the world. If you want gadgets and electronic products, you must go to Akihabara. Nowadays, there are more people who come from other countries, especially from China than Japanese people. I can guide you to some shops which are Radio Kaikan, Tokyo Radio Department and Akihabara Radio Center in Akihabara city. Somehow, they were named Radio. All of them deal with our company's products, special gadgets and etc. It is too fun for you to walk around Akihabara only one day.

Tokyo, I am always here. 6) Ueno

cherry blossom

Ueno

In Ueno, there are some famous places you must go in spring. It is because you can have a cherry blossom party called Ohanami there.
Ueno park is one of the best places where cherry blossoms are beautiful.  Through there, you can go Tokyo National Museum and Ueno Zoo. You can see various art in the Tokyo National Museum. Ueno Zoo is the famous Zoo which there is giant panda of which name is Ri Ri that is male and Shin Shin that is female. Its admission is free only on the national holiday of Japan though it is too many people to see. Nowadays, the Zoo always announces whether you can see giant panda or not, and whether it is crowded or not though I've never heard the day when it's not crowded but suddenly you're stopped to see the giant panda, because of a crowd, the giant panda is feeling uncomfortable. l think that it is hard for the panda to be visited by many people. However, people want to see the giant panda. I also saw it when I was a junior high school student with my sister and brother.  When our family moved to Tokyo from Osaka despite there would be probably panda in Osaka too. Incidentally, that time, panda we saw in Ueno Zoo was muddy but tired in the rainy day. Our imagination that we could see actively playing beautiful white panda was unfortunately broken.
I think that we are planted its image by medias and goods designed panda. It is because there are a lot of goods designed panda in Ueno. When you get off your train at Ueno station, you can take pictures with big stuffed panda.

Also in Ueno, there is one of famous toy shop Yamashiroya. Although it sells our company's products, panda goods are more popular than ours. You can disgustingly see a lot of Cawaii which means pretty products that are stationary goods,  character's goods and toys there.

 Gashapon
And then, before your go into the shop, you must enjoy Gashapon capsule. It's called "gacha gacha" that is capsule toy machine. By putting money and turning a knob, a capsule containing a small toy comes out. It's like a vending machine. However, somehow, the gacha gacha machine is really fun more than a vending machine. I spent all my money l had when I was a kid. My mother was strongly angry at me. Please be careful.

Returning to the story of cherry blossom, I like to see cherry blossom in silent areas. I know same areas which are along the river in my town. In there, we can see fireworks of Tokyo Disney Land and Cherry blossom blooms.
Fireworks is called Hanabi. Hana means a flower and Bi is used a fire of Kanji character. Japanese fireworks can express extremely delicate pattern, further, in Japan, you can play with the small fireworks by your hand. Can you imagine? By having a mini fireworks stick by your hand, and set fire to it. Hanabi spreads downward your hand. I think that other countries don't have it and if it is summer, you can play with Hanabi wearing Yukata. Yukata is a kind of Japanese traditional Kimono. You can wear Yukata easier than usual Kimono, but only in summer, you can wear it.

Tokyo, I am always here. 5) Ginza

                                                              Ginza

Nowadays, a lot of foreigners go to Ginga, but I don't know why. There are many brand stores though brand goods are super expensive. In Ginza, it'll be better not to eat sushi because you can't pay its bill. I can take you to other Kaitenzushi which means a conveyor belt sushi restaurant. I think that it's not expensive, it's delicious and you can eat that without worry.
Only people who don't live in Tokyo buy and eat something in Ginza. Please don't be deluded by the media.
There is also a shop which sells our company's products. This is the most famous toy shop HAKUHINKAN TOY PARK in Japan.

Tokyo, I am always here. 4) Shinjuku

Shinjuku

Shinjuku is the place which there is Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building Observatory. I like this place which has become the face of the west side of Shinjuku station. It takes about 10 minutes on foot from Shinjuku station.

                           IMG_0201.JPG を表示しています

You can see all of Tokyo from the popular 202 meter high observation deck located on 45th floor of main building. I recommend the north observation deck because there is the shop which sells our company's products. It opens at 9:30 am until 10:30 pm. The best thing is that admission is free. There are no other places for free these days.
At Shinjuku station, there is the most famous bookstore Kinokuniya in Tokyo which also sells our company products.

Tokyo, I am always here. 3) Haneda airport

Haneda airport

This is the most difficult homework ever that talking and writing about Tokyo because I don't have time to travel around Tokyo and Japan. I think that almost all Japanese people don't know that Japan is a great country where there are a lot of better places but Japanese people don't often go there.

The population of Japan is concentrated only in Tokyo and I don't want to say that there are many old people there.
When you arrive in Japan, you will realize it soon. And then, in Tokyo, shops have foreigners for customers thus you can really be relieved.
The places I often go are where there are some shops that sell our company's products. I am really proud of them because by doing walk-in really difficult sales, they allowed dealing with our company's products. I decided to write them.

Haneda airport

Hanada airport is newer than Narita. It's a beautiful place which you can see Mt, Fuji on a clear day though unfortunately, there are no regular plane services to Cebu from Haneda. It's smaller than Narita and thus you can't get lost there and our company's products sell really better because there are few rival shops.
The most useful thing is that it's really close to many stations around Tokyo. You can go to, for example, Shibuya, Shinjuku, Tokyo, Ginza, Akihabara, and Asakusa soon by monorail or subway. A monorail is a railway in which the track consists of a single rail. It runs on the high place and thus you can see Mt, Fuji again from its window.

Tokyo, I am always here. 2) This is our company's products.

I have one idea which I have a present for you if you read my blog and come to our shop.
We have all countries flags strap keychain. I think that no company in the world has this product without us and other countries couldn't do it.
We have it, you read this, there is the internet, you love your country, are the reasons that we can meet.
You can say, "I read your blog"
Will it be fun?
This is the great thing that in the world, there are people who have our company's products.
However, the number is just one you get, this is without Japanese people because you can come there soon. Please let me take your picture that you have it and put it here.

Tokyo, I am always here. 1) You can be a star in Japan.

Tokyo, I am always here. 1) You can be a star in Japan.
If you who is a foreigner want to visit Tokyo, I remembered an important thing.
You can be a star in Japan.
Now, there is a well-known TV variety program by TV Tokyo.
The title is "Why did you come to Japan?"
This is a rude title, sorry. The program is that Its TV director surprisingly interviews foreigners who just arrive or leave Japan at Narita airport and he asks them what brings you to Japan?
Somehow, somehow, the TV program is really popular not only in Japan but also in other countries nowadays. It is because they amazingly know and prepare it. When they were asked that, they answered that they watched the program, they wanted to be asked that, they got that ready, and they love Bananaman who is the host of the program but he is not there. They say towards the camera and the interviewer. They willingly started reading their prepared list what they wanted to do in Japan or their love letter to Bananaman.
Interviewed one girl said,
" I every time watch the program, Bananaman is cool".

I think that everyone wants to appear on the TV so much, doesn't he/she? Oh, that's great. This is a pretty good program. You can proudly talk about that to your friends when you come back to your country and you can be popular not only in Japan but also in your country. Probably, there will be a lot of films which are cut though this is the big opportunity. Just preparing to appear on TV and thinking of appearing you on TV will be fun for you.
When we watch you talk hard what you want to do in Japan, we feel that we want to support you and it reminds Japanese people of better Japan.
