Gaming can make a better world, Lesson5

TED
Jane McGonigal: Gaming can make a better world, Lesson5
Summary
Games don't  try to predict  the future.  First, it  makes the future and  imagines the best-case scenario outcome.
If so, people make any future they can imagine and they can play any games they want. And games have power that you achive more. Through this world problems can be used to solve.
This is when the world-changing games begin.
◆Viewpoints&Discussion
1. Which games that were mentioned in the discussion do you want to play? World Without Oil, Superstruct, and the last one made by the World Bank Insitute.
I choose the game which is the World Bank Insitute. It is because it will give me some knowledge. In other game world, people will die when someone is not able to win.
2. If you were given the chance to invent a game, what would it be? Explain the structure or plot of the game.
Of course, the game I will create is a flags quiz. Although there are some flag quizzes in the internet, those are with three multiple choices.  I want to turn it more difficult so playerscan get more knowledge. And then, we can know the flags of countries and collect photos like country's living people, superb views and delicious foods. When you finish playing the game, your feeling is like you have goen a trip around the world.
3. After reading this TED discussion, do you have any new learnings about playing games? Do you believe that playing games can save the world?
No, I don't believe that playing games can save the world.
However, playing games might not be a bad thing, as long as you have a purpose in doing it. Before I read this article, I didn't like plaing games. I thought that it's a waste of time.
What I learned from this article is that should have a purpose when you do something and you should not go away from the real world. You can achive more.  If so, you can be a main character, certainly in the real world like playing games.
Your life will be greater than being in the game world.
