This is a summary of this article. The speaker is Al Gore who is a former Vice President of the United States and this is the second time for him to stand on TED talk. As the title suggests, he announced his new thinking on the climate crisis. That's what a price is put on carbon. This is the carbon offset which means to make an investment in not cut wealthy country emissions and to solve the poverty and development programs in the developing countries.
Although he said that we had to start to reduce energy from our home last time, the pace of the climate change progresses worse than we think. We have to change our life and thoughts about the climate crisis urgently. The way of the investment might be difficult unless the law is changed. It has an interest also. However, our society is a democracy which has a power: it ended slavery and it gave women the right to vote. He strongly expects it.
