Danielle Feinberg : The magic ingredient that brings Pixar movies to life (transcript)
Summary
So, nowadays, without we realizing, the movie has been three-dimensional and its world is created into the computer by using not only art but also math, science, and code.
Lending a subtle, magical sparkle to the underwater, creating a believable world, not scientifically and feeling like the animation has a soul like there's a character with emotion inside, are decided by coding up a light.
This is the moment where all the pieces come together, suddenly the world comes to life as if it's an actual place that exists, and creators and audiences can immerse in.

Words in this story
untethered / release or free from a tether.
caustic / able to burn or corrode organic tissue by chemical action.
binoculars / an optical instrument with a lens for each eye, used for viewing distant objects.
Eureka /  Bingo, I've got it, That's it,
