Magda Sayeg : How yarn bombing grew into a worldwide movement (transcript)
Summary
What a cute bus this is!
You can see the bus wrapped in knitting in the TED talk. In fact, this is a Japanese bus which has its destination board written in Japanese. I thought where the bus wrapped in knitting ran and I really wanted to see it though unfortunately, it's not in Japan but in Mexico.
The speaker who knitted it says that she wanted to see something warm and fuzzy in the cold digital gray city where she looked at every day.  It was really fun for her because it feels like having inanimate objects come to life.
The reaction of the people who saw objects she wrapped in knitting was interesting enough for her to continue doing it. Then it started to spread because of the internet probably.
This is a small thing that she just only wrapped something in front of her in knitting. However, it might have a hidden power that you might just not realize yet, the power becomes a language to be able to connect you with the rest of the world and probably, it doesn't come from your smartphone that you hold in your hand always. One day, it’ll change your world forever.
