Clint Smith 1 : The danger of silence

TED 2014
Clint Smith 1: The danger of silence (transcript)
Summary
Is there always a silent person next to you?
Are the people who keep silent on being just shy?
Don't they have their own opinion?
The speaker tells us that the consequences of silence lead to discrimination, violence, genocide, war, and bullying.  It might be their culture but justified silence is dangerous. They don't have to be sources of shame.
We always spend so much time listening to the things people are saying. As a result, we rarely pay attention to the things they don't say.
People who don't say "No" does not exactly mean that they agree with. I don't think that the world's medias always tell us the truth and they say all things they know. We have to create the world where people read critically, write consciously, speak clearly, and tell their truth.
We shouldn't give up telling and listening to the truth.

Words in this story
